4 Things I Do When I Feel Low About My Body

I want to start off by saying that I feel like I have no right to feel bad about my body. Because I am thin, therefore I am privileged. 

But body image issues don’t discriminate. Even when I was 110 pounds, I’d feel low about my body at times. I remember wearing a crop top to a party and worrying beforehand about having a slice of pizza because I’d look bloated. I ate healthy 80% of the time because I was subconsciously afraid of gaining weight. I think we’ve all been taught that weight gain = bad, fat = bad. I’m sad that our culture has set the body standard bar so high.
