Second Cup of Wine: Caught Red Handed

First of the Ten Plagues is Blood. You could have been doing a regular load of laundry in the Nile without even the slip of a red sock in the pile and all your pristine whites would be ruined. Your hands would have been covered in blood too.
Every day we get our hands dirty- red- in a different way. Catching each other red handed, avoiding things like the plague. Something many rarely admit to, the 11th plague of today's age, feelings. Feelings are hardly admitted to, often even to oneself. I do not mean feelings of the sort between lovers or friends, but emotion and care with which one attends to the world. You are allowed to care what you look like. Holding up an act is possible for only so long, and Bonnie and I are not holding back any longer. Red handed, we care. We care about where we are going and what we are doing.

We do not care what we look like right now. Foolish, bloody teenagers- maybe. But gladly- and dirty. And if you wear your "shame" with pride it can't be used against you. Your feelings become your armor.
